Progress Update: United Violet Online Meeting
23 April 2026
The United Violet Project continues to move forward with strong momentum, as partners gathered today for yet another productive online working meeting. This EU-funded initiative focuses on developing practical tools and educational resources to support teachers and educators in identifying and addressing gender-based violence (GBV), particularly as it affects women and transgender individuals.
During the one-hour teleconference, project partners reviewed progress and aligned on several key milestones critical to the next phase of implementation.
Progress on the Educators’ Practical Guide
A major highlight of the meeting was the update on the development of the practical guide for educators. This comprehensive resource is designed to equip teachers with ready-to-use workshop scenarios and structured methodologies for recognising and preventing gender-based violence in educational settings. The English version of the guide has now been completed and is currently awaiting external quality review. Following the audit process, the guide will be translated into all project languages and published, preferably ahead of the summer period, making it accessible to a wide range of education professionals across Europe.
Preparations for the LTTA in Italy
Partners also finalised preparations for the upcoming Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA), which will take place from 13 to 15 May 2026 in Schio, Italy. This training event will bring together educators, staff, and potentially learners to strengthen their competencies in identifying and combating GBV.
The LTTA represents a key component of the project’s capacity-building efforts, offering participants practical knowledge, interactive learning experiences, and opportunities for cross-country exchange. Each partner organization will be represented, ensuring a diverse and collaborative learning environment.
Strong European Partnership
Today's meeting brought together all project partners, reflecting the collaborative and international nature of the United Violet initiative. Participating organisations included:
ARTIS MULTIMEDIA (France)
Solution: Solidarité & Inclusion (France)
Unofficial Media & Training (Ireland)
Le Tre Ghinee (Italy)
Gea Centro Studi Interventi Assistiti con gli Animali (Italy)
36,6 Centrum Kompetencji (Poland)
This diverse partnership continues to play a vital role in ensuring that the project’s outputs are relevant, inclusive, and adaptable across different national contexts.
