United Violet Partners Gather in Italy for International LTTA Activities
15 May 2026
From 13–15 May 2026, partners of the United Violet project met in the Italian cities of Schio and Marano Vicentino for a three-day Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA) dedicated to strengthening educational approaches to gender-based violence prevention and support.
Hosted by the Italian project partners, the LTTA brought together educators and professionals from across the consortium for an intensive programme of workshops, presentations, practical exercises and collaborative reflection.
The activities focused on the key themes developed within the project’s educational materials and Practical Handbook for educators, including:
understanding and identifying forms of gender-based violence,
the cycle of violence and intervention methods,
sexist language and microaggressions,
stereotypes and cultural influences,
economic and digital violence,
psychological and financial empowerment,
and trauma-informed educational approaches.
Participants also explored the newly developed United Violet e-learning platform and took part in practical role-play sessions based on the project Practical Handbook scenarios. Interactive workshops, organised on the AIDI farm with specialists of animal-assisted violence survivors therapy, focused on creative self-expression, nature-based approaches and safe learning environments further enriched the programme.
Beyond the educational dimension, the LTTA created valuable space for intercultural exchange, peer learning and strengthening cooperation among project partners from across Europe.
The meeting in Italy marked another important milestone for the project and reinforced the shared commitment of the consortium to promoting inclusive education, awareness and effective responses to gender-based violence. More info about the LTTA as well as some photos can be found on the project Facebook.
We sincerely thank our Italian partners for their hospitality, organisation and inspiring contribution to the success of the event.
